Have you experienced chronic pain and visited doctors numerous times, undergone various tests and imaging studies, yet received reports showing no cause OR have your scans showed degenerative changes or bulging discs? This type of therapy may be suitable for you.
Developed by Dr. Howard Schubiner MD, this course explores the relationship between mind and body, revealing how emotions and physical pain are interconnected. The course instructors include Registered Nurses who personally experienced chronic pain and used this treatment themselves. Additionally, a masters level psychotherapist will be present during some sessions.

How Effective is This Treatment
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) have shown promising efficacy in reducing pain and improving other pain-related outcomes.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) has shown high success rates in treating chronic pain, with a substantial portion of patients reporting elimination or near-elimination of pain, according to a study published in JAMA Psychiatry. Specifically, a study found that 66% of patients reported being pain-free or nearly pain-free after PRT.

EAET demonstrates superior pain reduction compared to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in some studies, with a higher percentage of patients achieving clinically significant pain reduction (63% vs 17% for EAET vs CBT).

How These Therapies Work Together

Pain Reprocessing Therapy helps your brain reinterpret pain signals, leading to sustainable relief.

-
Fibromyalgia
-
Temporomandibular pain
-
Pelvic pain

These therapies involve exploring past experiences and emotions. While temporary discomfort may occur during treatment, many patients experience significant long-term benefits. We will help guide you through the process safely and supportively.
